Bio:
Veera was born to a noble family in the city of Rosguard. Discovering her magic abilities early on in her life she was often shunned by other children or locked away in her house to study. Fayla was her only friend for some time because the house of Azaria was closely aligned with the house of Verona. As they grew older their lives slowly drove them apart as Fayla become more involved in the army and Veera became an agent of the Red King. It was on one of these assignments that she met the woman in the swamp who would give her the dark spell book. A short time after acquiring the book an illness began to spread throughout the kingdom and Veera fled to the Isle of Spirits where she found the portal which brought her to this world.

Personality:

Veera is a bit of a loner, she tends to distrust and despise most people, especially men. She tends to lose her temper when being confronted by the male sex’s more lecherous nature. She’ll occasionally feign attraction in order to get something from a man or simply to toy with him before she kills him. She is fairly prideful and does not react well to disrespect. She tends to view most people as being below her but can usually recognize skilled or threatening individuals and if not for real can feign a respectful attitude.

Above all things Veera craves power, to become the most skilled wielder of magic she can possibly become. When faced with a challenge she will often take it head on in pursuit of this goal. The only person she fears is her old childhood friend Fayla Azaria.

Wearing:

Leather lined hood over light leather sorcerers’ breastplate, a leather belt with red cloth (identifying her as a member of court), red dress, and calf high boots. All fireproofed with enchantments.

Bracelets with the sigil of Rosguard engraved into them. They’re enchanted to keep Veera from being harmed by fire.

Equipment / Weapons:

8 inch bladed dagger.

Spell book (The Everto Dico)
- Given to Veera by the woman in the swamp, this tome allows Veera to cast greater and more terrible spells by paying tribute to demons in a dark netherverse.
- Veera can summon and banish the book to her at will..
- The book bares black leather covers adorned with metal casing. The front cover usually bares a 4 horned sheep skull but the image has been known to change from time to time.
- The lock on the front can only be opened by magic which is just as well because weak or unprepared minds risk possession, insanity, or death upon trying to read the runes within.



3 containers attached to her belt contain

- 3 smoke bombs (small area of effect she can use to escape close combat)
- 1 vial of magic healing potion (effectiveness depends on the amount taken. A sip can remove fatigue and return magical energy. The whole vial can cure fatal wounds so long as it is imbibed while the individual is still alive)
- Bone dust (used to help cast spells from the Everto Dico)

Abilities

Fire Spells

As her name suggests Veera is adept at fire magic she can summon it by will with little effort as long as her hands are not submerged in water. The hotter she wants the flame the more energy is required from her.

She is able to manipulate flames within her proximity (like from a torch). She can only control the direction and consistency of the fire in the open air to about 3 feet from a surface she is in contact with (So if she wanted she could run fire along her dagger and have a 3 foot sword of fire but she couldn’t control the flame that was any farther away from the dagger itself). She can run flames along the ground and walls very quickly so long as she’s touching them but the farther the flame goes from her the more concentration and energy is needed to keep control of it.

She can throw fireballs but they’re relatively slow moving and easy to avoid at anything farther away then medium range.

Everto Dico Spells

The Everto Dico is an exceedingly dangerous spell book; the effects of the demon fueled spells are horrifying and sometimes unpredictable. With it Veera can posses enemies, banish them to the netherverse, create demon powered golems from corpses, and countless other abominable things.

The powers of these spells are matched by their complexity. They require intense concentration and can, in the case of more powerful spells, take up to 5 minutes of casting. Interruption in the casting or a wavering in Veera’s concentration can have dire consequences since casting these spells draws the attention of the demons of the netherverse (some of them extremely powerful and looking for any chance they can get). Veera can stop in mid recitation of a spell if she thinks she is going to be interrupted by casting what is essentially a pause spell. This spell is easy to cast so enemies will have to surprise her.

If casting a spell against someone Veera requires a piece of that persons body (hair, nail, blood, etc) along with the usual payment of her own blood. When the spell is complete she must make direct contact with the target or use an organic medium to make contact with the target (hence the bone dust) .

Healing spells

Veera was once able to revive dying men to the peek of health, sadly these abilities vanished when she came into possession of the Everto Dico. Now all she can manage to heal is light cuts.
